George Douglas Counts, Jr., 69, died Tuesday in a Screven County Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 PM today (Oct. 8th) at Sylvania First United Methodist Church with the Rev. William G. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Screven County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Counts was a native of Screven County and a member of Sylvania United Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer and a farm equipment dealer.
Survivors include is wife, Mary Katherine Sneed Counts; three daughters, Agatha C. Kent and Trudy C. Smith, Sylvania and Becky Deal, Winter Park, FL; two sons, John Mark Counts and W. Douglas Counts, Sylvania; two sisters, Cassie C. Bazemore, Sylvania and Annie Laurie Mead, Augusta; and two brothers, Walstein Mock and Emerson Mock, Sylvania.
