Pioneer Rancher Dies at Home of Daughter
Havre, Oct. 2--Alexander Werk, pioneer ranch man from the Bear Paw mountains, died Saturday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Spencer, 920 Second avenue.
Mr. Werk was 82 years old. He died after a short illness. Funeral services were held at the Holland chapel Tuesday afternoon, upon the arrival of a son, Charles, from Waterloo, Iowa. The Rev. Frank D. White of the First Baptist church officiated and interment was made in Highland cemetery.
Mr. Werk had been a resident of Montana for many years and a rancher in the Bear Paw mountains for the last 26 year
