MARY LORETTA KEMPLE - Services were held October 3 at Shum-Novinger Funeral Home for Mary Loretta Kemple, 70, conducted by Rev. Carl Cummings. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery in Bedford. Mrs. Kemple died September 30, 1986 at Ringgold County Hospital in Mt. Ayr, Ia.
Mary Loretta Cannon, daughter of Edward LeRoy Cannon and Grace Doyle Cannon was born at Wiota, in Cass County, Iowa January 6, 1916.
She lived in the Wiota area until she moved to Bedford with her family and she was graduated from Bedford High School in 1937.
On October 28, 1940 she was united in marriage to Donald Kemple at Pickering, Mo. and they have lived in Bedford, Iowa. One daughter, Connie was born to this union.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Wilber, Vernon and Bernard; and two sisters, Margie Cross and Margaret Johnson.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donald of the home; daughter, Connie and her husband Robert Castillo of New Market, Iowa; grandchildren, Rick and Cindy Moore, Lisha Moore, Jim Castillo, Eric Castillo, Chenoa Castillo; great grandchildren Ricky and Tashena Moore; a sister Merel Ward and a brother, Virgil Cannon, both of Mt. Ayr, Ia.; other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Catholic faith and received last rites prior to her passing.
She will be remembered by her family and friends as a kind and considerate loved one.
