Jessica Lynn Darner, 27, of Jefferson City passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at St. Mary’s Health Center. She was born on July 20, 1987 the daughter of Robert Darner and Leisa Siler. She was a 2005 graduate of Jefferson City High School and graduated from Columbia College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. She worked for Gerbes East and West and was currently employed with Scholastic, Inc.
Jessica’s one true love was being mommy to her beautiful daughter: Olivia Jean Phillips. She enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends.
Jessica is survived by: her parents: Robert Darner of Hillsboro, MO and Leisa (Steve) Burkemper of Jefferson City; grandparents Donald and Glenda Strange of Cedar Hill, MO and June Shy of Barnett, MO; fiancé: Preston Phillips of the home; one daughter: Olivia Jean Phillips, of the home; 2 brothers: Daniel J. Palmer of Texas and Zachary Burkemper of Jefferson City; one sister: Dana (Michael)Smith of Jefferson City.
Family will receive friends on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Home with a balloon release at 7:00 p.m. in the front lawn. Graveside Services will be held at Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Cedar Hill, MO.
