Dorothy F. Wangler, 95, of Carmi passed away Tuesday evening, August 19, 2014 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center. She was born February 6, 1919, in Booneville, IN, the daughter of James Virgil and Hattie (Leslie) Hart.

Dorothy attended Carmi East Side Pentecostal Church, was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Bethany Baptist Church in IN and had worked locally at several restaurants.

Survivors include sons Carl (Leona) Julian of Carmi and Daryl (Dolla) Julian of Hippa, KY; daughters Anna Sneed of Carmi, Anita (Tom) Pettay of Bentonville, AR and Belva Hutchinson of Evansville, IN; sister-in-laws, Wilma Julian and Jerilee Wangler; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Claude Julian in 1978 and Edward Wangler in 2003; sons, James Julian and Alan Wangler; daughters, Gayle Glascock, Claudia Blazier, Kay Roberts, Jan Sutton and Carmen Harlow; brother Doris Hart; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
