Joe was a loveable guy who will not be forgotten.

Obituary:

Joseph A. Houdek, 51, of New Holstein, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at home.

Joe was born June 11, 1963 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Monica (Popp) Houdek and the late Richard Houdek. Joe attended Custer High School and Milwaukee Tech.

On April 6, 2002, he married the former Penny Erdmann.

Joe owned and operated Joe's Floor Covering for many years. He was employed by the Memorial Mall in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, as the Operations Manager since 2001. Joe opened his dream store in Appleton, Wisconsin, Houdek Hemp House. Joe was a jack of all trades.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by four children, Kevin Blackshear, Alivia Houdek (special friend, Josh), Riley Houdek and Robby Houdek; three grandchildren, Hayden, Kevin Michael Jr. and Hayleigh; three brothers, Jerry (Alicia) Houdek, John (Susan) Houdek and Jim Houdek; six sisters, Cathy (Bob) Kasten, Patty (Tony) Zulli, Cheryl (Bill) Nickel, Mary (Alan) McLees-Lane, Judy (Mike Olguin and Therese (Mark) Joanis. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Houdek.

A celebration of life gathering was held on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Falls Tap, (212 Pine Street, Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin).

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Joe's name.
