Mr. Jerry Mashburn, age 72 of Wartburg, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee after a long battle of illness. Mr. Mashburn was of the Baptist Church Faith. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict era. (this is incorrect as the Korean War was from 1950-1953, Jerry was too young, more than likely he was in during the Vietnam War)

He was a Devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed Fishing and Playing Golf. Most of all, He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by Parents: Nellie June Putnam & Willard Mashburn; Brother: Edward Mashburn; Granddaughter: Rebecca Wagner

He is survived by Wife of 43 years: Judy K. Mashburn of Wartburg, Tennessee Daughters Faith Helton (Danny) of Oakdale, Tennessee Karey Bowers of Dalton, Georgia Kathy Ledford (Johnny) of Copperhill, Tennessee Sons Jerry Mashburn (Pamela) of Hartselle, Alabama Bill Mashburn (Jill) of Suwanee, Georgia 13 Grandchildren & 10 Great-Grand children Several Nieces, Nephews and Other Extended Family

Funeral and Visitation Arrangements are as follows: Tuesday, August 26, 2014 Family will receive Friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Funeral will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. John Underwood, officiating. Concluding Services and Interment will be on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 1:00 pm in Oak Grove Cemetery, Rockwood, with Full-Military Honors by the U. S. Army Honors and Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood is serving the Family of Mr. Ralph Jerry Mashburn.
