John Gust Adamson was born in Sweden, October 28, 1857 and died December 26, 1927, age 70 years, one month and 28 days.

In 1880 he came to America to Saunders county, Nebraska, where he lived for about five years. From there to Dundy county, where he lived for about nine years, then, to Lancaster county.

In 1907 he came to Antelope county, where he has since lived.

He was married in February, 1884 to Rike Johnson. Three children were born to them: Frank of Gordon, Emil of Knox county and Mrs. Annie McNurlin of Brunswick.

Besides these children, he leaves ten grandchildren; two brothers, Frank of Lincoln and Oscar of California.

His wife died in 1892.

He was a consistent Christian, always read his Bible and was generous toward every good cause.

About a week before his death, he was taken very ill and hospitalized at Orchard, where he passed away.

He was a good father, husband and neighbor. When able to work, he was always busy.

The funeral was from the Community church last Wednesday at 2 p.m. The remains were laid to rest in the Brunswick cemetery, Rev. L. Yost came up from Pender and officiated in the last sad rites.

Many beautiful floral offerings gave mute testimony to the high esteem this worthy man was held in by those who knew him best.
