Henrietta Mauldin 1911-2006
Henrietta May Mauldin of Delta died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2006, at St. Mary's Hospital and Medical Center in Grand Junction. She was 94.
Mrs. Mauldin was born Nov. 14, 1911, in Gypsum, Kan., to Theodore and Cora (Hartman) Darling.
She married Roy W. Mauldin on Feb 6, 1935, in Abilene, Kan. He preceded her in death. She lived in Abilene, Kan., until 1943, when she moved to Gunnison, Cedaredge and Delta in 1950.
Mrs. Mauldin was a member of Garnet Mesa Baptist Church in Delta. She and her husband were in the trout fly tying business for 38 years. She enjoyed fishing, camping, crocheting and growing roses.
She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Sandra and Ron Phumb of Montrose; two grandsons; a granddaughter; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Mauldin was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Mauldin, and two sisters.
A funeral service was held Feb. 28 at Garnet Mesa Baptist Church in Delta. Burial followed at Delta City Cemetery.
