MOUNT ULLA — Tommy P. Ervin, 58, of Rt. 1, died about 8:05 p.m. Saturday at the Salisbury Veterans Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Mount Ulla Monday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Johnney C. Cozart. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at Cavin's Funeral Home tonight from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
He owned and operated a general store in Bear Poplar for 33 years. He was a Rowan County native educated in the county public schools.
Survivors include his widow, Ethel Anderson Ervin; two brothers, Bob Ervin of Landis and Bill Ervin of Kannapolis; four sisters, Francis Ervin of Kannapolis, Lucile Ervin of Kannapolis, Mrs. Connie Rex of Salisbury and Mrs. Allie Neil of Barber; two step-granddaughters."
