Mrs Mary A. Angell, widow of the late Samuel Angell, died at York Road, Carroll County, yesterday, in the 85th year of her age. She leaves the following children: Henry, of Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. H. D. Althouse [sic], of Taneytown, Md.; Mrs. O. D. Birely and Mrs. C. E. Valentine, of York Road, and Mrs. Joseph H. Bussard of Frederick. Her funeral will take place of Tuesday at 1 o'clock. Services will be held at the late residence. Mrs. Angell was the daughter of the late John Snook, who lived on the farm adjoining the farm owned by Francis Scott Key, who was a special friend of Mrs. Angell, she being the last person in that community who was personally acquainted with Mr. Key. Before her decease, she wrote the names of the ministers, the text, and pallbearers for her funeral.
