Marilyn M. Forbes, 78 of 628 Third St. Kiel died Friday morning August 22, 2014 at Willowdale Nursing and Rehab Center. She is the former Marilyn Stecker, born July 29, 1936 in Sheboygan daughter of the late Albert & Eula (Wing) Stecker. Marilyn was a graduate of Kiel High School. She furthered her education at the American Academy of Dental and Medical Technology, Milwaukee and graduated in 1961 as a Registered Medical Assistant. Marilyn worked for more than 40 years with Dr. Theiler and Dr. Hetzner in all aspects of their clinics. She was hard working and devoted to the patients she worked with. On June 24, 1961 she was united in marriage to Donald Forbes at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Kiel. Marilyn had a great love for all Chicago sports teams. She enjoyed watching the Bears, Cubs and Bulls especially Walter Payton and Michael Jordan. She also was an outstanding organ and piano player. In her free time, Marilyn liked to work in her flower and vegetable gardens and enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Donald, her son; Scott (Dawn) Forbes, Neenah, her beloved granddaughters; Autumn & Amber Forbes. Marilyn is further survived by a brother; Jim (Ruth) Stecker, New Holstein, niece; Candy Stecker, nephew; Dennis Stecker along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son. According to Marilyn’s wishes, private family services were held with burial in the Kiel City Cemetery.
