Wayne H. Ommert, Funeral services for Wayne H. Ommert, 67, of 5594 Roxbury Road, Shippensburg, will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Mongul United Brethren Church, 4162 Roxbury Road, Shippensburg.

He died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

Born Oct. 12, 1934, in Williamson, a son of the late Ray F. and Mary A. Hoover Ommert, he was a truck driver for Chambersburg Waste Paper Co. and drove for more than 25 years for H.C. Gabler Trucking, Chambersburg.

He was a member of Mongul United Brethren Church, Shippensburg, and its Faithful Servants Sunday school class; NRA; and a past member of the Civil Air Patrol. He also was a World War II history buff.

Mr. Ommert is survived by his wife, Mary C. Bender Ommert; two sons, Jeffrey W. and David L., both of Shippensburg; a daughter, Lisa J. Ryan of Phoenixville; two brothers, John M. of Chambersburg and Teddy R. of Newburg; two granddaughters; three step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
