He was employed by Occupational Services Inc. in Chambersburg.
He was a member of the Mongul United Brethren Church in Shippensburg, and the Faithful Servants Sunday school class. He was a former member of the Pleasant Hall Volunteer Fire Co., was musically inclined, and enjoyed listening to music from the 1950s and 1960s.
Mr. Ommert is survived by his mother; a brother, David L. of Shippensburg; a sister, Lisa J. Ryan of Phoenixville; four nieces; a nephew; two great-nephews; and a great-niece.
