Bath Advocate - September 24, 1929
Mrs. Lafayette C. Heekman, 82, died Sunday night, following long illness. Her maiden name was Mary, a daughter of McCarty Wright and Sarah Peters and she was born at Suffolk, N. J.
She had lived In this county since girlhood.
She was married in 1870, her husband dying on the 50th anniversary of her marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Heckman lived many years at Risingville, and upon death of Mr. Heckman, she moved to Bath.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. L. Rising, Bath, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Leland Byran, Corning.
