. Born March 27, 1916 in Del Rio, Texas, to Joel Andrew Alderson and Lizzie
Brewer Alderson, she resided most of her life in Burnet, Texas. She was of
Baptist faith, a long-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 6974, Burnet,
Texas, and a member of the Eastern Star Lodge in Burnet, Texas. She is
survived by her son, Joel Allen Green, Sr. and wife Mary, of Marble Falls,
Texas; niece, Bobbie Bruce, who was raised for many years in her home, and
her husband Darrel, of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Joel Allen Green, Jr.,
of San Antonio, Texas, and Scott Bryan Green and wife Kim, of Marble Falls,
Texas; great-grandchildren, Austin Bryan Green and Jacob Allen Green, of
Marble Falls, Texas; step-grandchildren, Justin T. Nadeau and wife Dottie,
of Buchanan Dam, Texas, Kimberly Nadeau Wennes and husband Mike, of Llano,
Texas; sisters, Lyda Mae Green and Nora Lacy, both of Mansfield, Texas,
Ethel Tucker and husband Vernon, of Burnet, Texas, and Ada Ruth Goble, of
Victoria, Texas; brothers, Joe D. Alderson and wife Nila, of Marble Falls,
Texas, and Archie L. Alderson and wife Verna Mae, of San Antonio, Texas; as
well as many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Archie B. Green, in 1985; her parents, Joel Andrew Alderson and
Lizzie A. Alderson; and one brother, Damon Alderson. Funeral services were
held Monday, June 7, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Edgar Funeral Home in Burnet, Texas,
with Rev. Max copeland and Rev. Archie L. Alderson officiating. Burial
followed at Smithwick Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry Tucker, David Tucker,
Howard Gray, John Collins, G. A. Green, Jr., and Jerry Green.
