"CANTON- Nora Alice Flowers, 84, of 6967 SW 148th Terrace, Miami, Fla., formerly of Canton, died at 10:10 a.m. Sunday Sept. 15, 1996 at her residence.

"Born Feb. 14, 1912, in rural Rapatee to Benjamin and Della May Sherman Johnson, she married Robert Earl Flowers on Aug. 2, 1928, in Galesburg. He died Nov. 23, 1965. She was also preceded in death by one sister.

"Surviving are one daughter, Phyllis J. Hornstein of Miami, with whom she made her home for the last 28 years; three grandsons, Mark R. Bradley of Havana, Scott A. Bradley of Miami and Robert J. Hornstein of Orlando, Fla; two granddaughters, Marta J. Hornstein of Miami and Lisa G. Matics of Beckley, W. Va.; and one great-grandchild.

"She was a bookkeeper at R.E. Flowers Trucking in Canton until she retired in 1965.

"She was a member of Evening Star Chapter 46 Order of Eastern Star in Canton. She was a Life Master bridge player.

"Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton. There will be no visitation. The Rev. Ken Neeley will officiate. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.

"Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association."
