Margaret Lillian Jane Shoemaker, 92, of Terre Haute, passed away at 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, in her home. She had been employed for many years with Miles Laboratory in Chicago. She was born Dec. 24, 1921, in Terre Haute.
Survivors include her two daughters, Peggy ole and Sharon Halloran; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Peters, and by her parents.
Funeral services for Margaret will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., in West Terre Haute, with the Rev. Kyle Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon until service time Saturday. The family suggest that if friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society with envelopes available in the funeral home.
