Conrad F. Rodeck, retired Potlatch Corp. manager, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at Life Care Center of Lewiston. He was 93.

He was born March 9, 1908, at Spokane to Karl Fred and Margaretha Louisa Danz Rodeck.

Conrad worked in several capacities for Potlatch Corp. from 1927 to 1970. Most of those years were spent in the firm's Pres-to-Log Division.

He met Mabel Ellen Bott while working as a firefighter for Potlatch. She was the fire hall cook. The two were married and she survives in Lewiston.

Conrad was economical, recycling wood pallets that he cut to fireplace size with a saw system he rigged up at his home. He shared the wood with their longtime neighbor, Bessie Moon.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, John; three brothers, Jack, George and Fred; and three sisters, Georgina, Diana and Janet.

He was preceded in death by a son, Carl Rodeck.
