TWIN FALLS • Lydia Ann Wolverton passed away peacefully at Stoney Creek Living Center on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, and is now celebrating eternity with her loved ones. Praise the Lord (as she would say).

Lydia was born in Appleton, Minn., on Jan. 3, 1918, to Henry and Anna Behlen. She was the youngest of four children. She married Clifford T. Wolverton in 1946, and together they were an amazing couple; very giving and loving people who loved the Lord and sought to do the right thing. Their legacy of passing on these traits is truly a treasure to all that knew them.

Lydia was a multi-faceted woman with a giving and generous spirit. She loved learning and was always interested in teaching others. After Cliff passed away, she opened her heart and home to numerous prayer groups and Bible studies, ministering to people and leading many to the Lord. She had a loving spirit and a witty sense of humor.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Allen of California; and stepdaughter, Joan Sjostrand of Texas; plus numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Donald Wolverton; her stepson, Jack Wolverton; and her husband, Clifford Wolverton.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Reynolds Funeral Chapel in Twin Falls. A private interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Pocatello, Idaho.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Chapel.
