Mildred H. Brown-Hamblin, 90, of Madison, died Monday, July 16, 2001, at the residence of her daughter, Linda Kessler.

She was born September 5, 1910, in Jefferson County, the daughter of John and Blanche Rogers Martin. She was a homemaker and formerly a bookkeeper employed by L.S. Ayres in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Christian Church in Austin.

Surviving are one daughter, Linda Kessler of Madison; two grandsons, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Wallace Brown, in 1963; her second husband, Isom Hamblin, in 1999; two sisters, Cleo Scott and Anna Day; and two brothers, Clarence Martin and Charles Martin.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Vail-Holt Funeral Home Madison Chapel, with burial at Hebron Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
