Robin was a 15 year-old sophomore at Petaluma High School in Petaluma, Ca. He was sweet, absurdly funny, bright, well read, loved to cook, and an accomplished drama student.
Tragically, only weeks away from his 16th birthday, he commited suicide by leaping to his death from the Golden Gate Bridge on January 24th, 1995.
Five days after his death, his parents, Tim & Stephanie Reed, learned from his best friend that he had recently come out to a few friends that previous November, that he was gay. It was also learned that Robin was often the target of mean-spiritedness & harrassment since early on, starting way back in elementary school.
