Kingsbury Covey b. 1775, son of James Covey b. 1715 married to Mary Lanphere, Kingsbury married Mary Polly Bennett they had 10 children.

NOTE...don't know why I cannot list the twp, it is Lawrence Twp it is missing from the counties, so I had to list it under Lower Salem, which is nearby, Liberty twp is also missing.

ABSTRACTS OF WILLS AND ADMINISTRATION OF ESTATES OF WASHINGTON CO., OHIO. KINGSBURY'S WILL- MADE JUNE 20, 1840, PROBATED AUGUST 1840. WIFE MARY; SONS, WILLIAM, BENNETT, KINGSBURY JR. WITNESS: CHAS ATKINSON, GEORGE TEMPLETON, ANDREW KITT.


" My guess is that they may be buried on the "old Covey farm" without a tombstone. Kingsbury Covey II and Kingsbury Covey III are buried in the Lynch Cemetery in Fearing Township, Washington County, OH." (Millie Fry)


Kingsbury Covey Sr. b. 1775 is said to be buried on his homestead. "The Old Covey Farm" without a tombstone.

He owned a saw mill on the Fifteen Creek on his land in Lawrence Township. Which he left to his sons in his will.

Kingsbury made out his will in June 1840 and it was probated Aug. 1840. in Lawrence, Washington County, Ohio.

His wife Mary/Polly Bennett Covey is living with her son William Covey in the 1850 Lawrence Township, Washington County, OH census..Fifteen Creek ran through his land. The sawmill was a old logging town.


Richard Burkenpas says " Kingsbury Sr,. Covey's burial site. Area has no maintenance so it is grown over with weeds and grass"..Richard furnished a picture of "The Old Covey Farm grave site" no names listed, he said it was overgrown. The picture is from him.


In my research I also found a Cem. on Fifteen Creek, known as Lehigh and also Slabtown, but it is in Liberty Twp. Ohio Lots of unknown Grave there.
