Joseph came to the USA as Joseph Sodia, later on started to use the name Sodja. He was a young man when he came and married his second wife Mary Stulac when she came to the USA and married he in Leadville Colorado, then moved to Crested Butte Colorao. His first wife I think was Helen, and they had a daughter named Barbra, who later married a Robert Allen.

DEATH CLAIMS JOS. SODIA AT DENVER HOSPITAL MONDAY
With much regret old-time friends of Joseph Sodja learned of his death, which occured at the Mercy hospital in Denver last Monday, Mr. Sodja was formerly of Grand Junction and was take to the Mercy hospital four months ago. He suffered with pneumonia and complications a year ago last fall and never recovered from the effects.
Mr. Sodja and his family were onetime residents of Crested Butte, leaving here in 1914, Going first to Leadville, from there to Utah, thence to Denver and still later to Grand Junction where Mr. Sodja took up farming. Deceased was 67 years of age. He was born in Jugo Slavia and emigrated to America when a young man. He was well liked by all who knew him.
The funeral was held in Denver last Wednesday. Requiem High Mass was offered at the Holy Rosary church of Denver. and interment was made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mr. Sodja leaves to mourn his death his widow, Mrs. Mary Sodja, his daughters, Mrs. Roy Ruden, Mrs. Anton Kosmach, Mrs. Florian Petek and Antonia Sodja, and one son, Joe. Also a brother, Marcus Sodja. of Denver. The friends of the family extend sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
