Mrs. Bergen was born in Jersey City. She moved from Clinton to Somerville in 1919.
She retired in 1952 from Dix & Son in Somerville, where she was a seamstress. For the past 15 years, she was a home health aide.
She was a member of United Methodist Church in Somerville.
Her first husband, Louis Yellis, died in 1944. Her second husband, Paul Bergen, died in 1976.
Surviving are a son, Ronald Yellis, of Woodbury; a sister, Elma Rosania, of Bradley Gardens; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
