Mrs. Nicholas Gallitz, 74, died suddenly at 8:45 o'clock Saturday evening at her farm home, two miles north of this city. She had been in poor health for several years, and a heart ailment was the cause of death.

Mrs. Gallitz, nee Margarete Habach, was born in town Richfield, Washington county, on Jan. 10, 1872, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Habach. On May 3, 1893 she was married to Nicholas Gallitz, and a few days later they came to this city to make their home. Several years later they moved to a farm near Farmersville, and in 1905 they took over the present Gallitz farm, where Mr. Gallitz died in 1921.

Surviving are ten children, Ted, of this city; Rose, John, and Joe, at home; Edwin of Clintonville; Alphonse, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Lawrence Kratz, Mrs. Adeline Faber, and Mrs. Harlan Frings of Hartford; and Mrs. Norbert Pauli, Rubicon. Fourteen grandchildren also survive, as do the brothers and sisters, Mrs. Mary Gallitz, Waukesha; Sr. M. Ferdinand, Milwaukee; John Habach, Kiel; and Adam Habach, this city.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning from the Moul Funeral Home to St. Mary's Catholic church, and interment was made in the old parish cemetery. The Rev. C. W. Spiegelhoff officiated.
