Pearl Hight, 92, of Carl Junction, died Sunday, January 17, 1999, at Barker Rest Home, Galena, KS. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 1999 at Nazarene Church of Carl Junction, MO. Burial will be at Carl Junction Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, 1999, at Simpson Funeral Home, Carl Junction.

Pearl Hight

Pearl Hight, 92, Carl Junction, died at 7 15 a.m., January 17, 1999 at Barker Rest Home, Galena, KS, after a long illness.

Mrs Hight was born February 7, 1906, in Carl Junction, to Reese Donham and Zadie Hull Donham.

She was a life-long resident of Carl Junction, and taught at the Carl Junction Schools for 32 years.

She was a 1924 graduate of Carl Junction High School and received at (sic) Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching in 1957 from the former Pittsburg Teacher’s College. She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Carl Junction, where she taught Bible School and was Missionary President for 49 years. She was a member of the Missouri State Teacher’s Association.

She was married to R. L. Night, on May 25, 1930. He preceded her in death on August 11,1992.

Survivors include 2 sons, Mervin Hight, Carthage, and Max Hight, Tulsa, OK; 1 brother Curly Donham, Carl Junction, 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 20th, at Nazarene Church of Carl Junction. The Reverend Robert Donham will officiate.

Burial will be in Carl Junction Cemetery Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may visit from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Simpson Funeral Home, Carl Junction.
