children: Martin (1836-????), Mary (1840-1924), Karin (1843-????),
Anna (1846-1920) and Andrew (1849-1919). All of the children were
born in Sweden and in 1863 Karin and the children emigrated to the
USA on a sailing ship that took 47 days to reach New York City.
They went west to Omaha, Nebraska, and in 1865 Karin homesteaded 80

named Anderson in their neighborhood they changed their family name
to Bowman. Karin's son, Martin, moved to Oregon and did not keep in

known who she married. Anna married Lars Peterson and they had 11
children. Andrew married Margaret Hanson and they had 5 children.
