She was born in Inavale, Neb., to Elbert E. and Anna R. Webber Larned and moved to Corvallis at 2 with her family. She was educated in Corvallis and married John Russell Spencer June 1, 1935 in Corvallis. She was a member of the Mountain View Grange. She enjoyed pinochle, square dancing and traveling and making quilts for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Ashworth, Ann Hilderbrand both of Corvallis and Vicki Reagan of Pasadena, Texas; son, Arthur Spencer of Albany; sister Elsie Wojciechowskie of Corvallis; 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her husband in September 1978 and her son Delmer Bryant in July 1992.
Visitation will be from 9am to 2pm Friday, Oct 19, in McHenry Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 3 pm Friday at the Corvallis IOOF Cemetery. Pastor Byron Grinch will officiate.
