Adam Michael Stevens, 24, of Norcross Georgia, died March 2, 2006. Born September 15, 1981 in Asheville, NC, he graduated from Socastee, SC, and received his BS degree in Computer Science from The Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003. He worked as a Project Manager for Intelliworks Inc. Survivors include his mother, Jayne Edwards Stevens and his two sisters, Megan Jayne Stevens and Caitlin Louise Stevens all of Matthews, NC; his father C. Michael Stevens of Garden City, SC; his grandparents, Charles and Peggy Stevens of Asheville, NC; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by grandparents, James T. and Clara L. Edwards formerly of Lyman, SC. He was the founder of The College Democrats of Georgia Chapter at Georgia Tech, and the founder and President of Gwinnett County Chapter of Young Democrats of GA; Adam held many positions within the Young Democrats of Georgia including Communications Director, Vice President of Programs, President of the College Democrats of Georgia, and Vice President of Membership, Communication Chair of the Young Democrats of Fulton County, Adam was a State Committee member of the Democratic Party of Georgia and was actively involved in the Gwinnett County Democratic Party. He was a member of the marching band of both Socastee High School and Georgia Tech, and active in volunteer work to aid the cause of the homeless in the greater Atlanta area, local political campaigns, and an aspiring Rodeo Saddle Bronc Rider of the Rodeo.
