Lyons - Mrs. Kay Adams Brown Smith, 63, of 174 Jerry Avenue, Lyons died Sunday, July 25, 2004 in the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon after an extended illness.
She was a native of Winter Haven, Florida living most of her life in this area, and was a retired Administrative Assistant with the Piggly Wiggly Southern with thirty plus years service and a retired secretary with the Georgia State Prison.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lyons and president of the Hill climbers group and was pianist of Sharpe's Chapel United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Gene S. Smith of Lyons; son, Dehn Brown; one daughter and son-in-law, Dana B. and Richard Lawrence; one granddaughter, Rebecca Shay Lawrence all of Vidalia; one sister, Faye Wheat of Milledgeville; several nieces and nephews; four stepchildren; nine step-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Lyons with Reverend James Aycock and Dr. Max Hill officiating.
Interment: Lakeview Memorial Gardens near Vidalia.
