Mrs. A.T. Martin

Mrs. Minnie Smith Martin, 95, of 355
Park Road, Lexington, widow of A.T.
Martin, died Sunday at Lexington County
Hospital.

Born in Anderson County, she was a
daughter of the late Phillip Franklin and
Carrie Bryant Smith. She was the oldest
member of the Lexington Baptist Church
and a member of the Glad Tidings Sunday
School Class.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs.
Everette (Cora) Corley and Mrs. James
(Conyous) Prather of Lexington and Mrs.
J.B. (Nettie) Coats of Columbia; three sons,
Otis L. Sr and Phillip "Jack" Martin Sr. of
West Columbia and Troy T. Martin Sr. of
West Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. G.D.
Couch of Greenville and Mrs Alonzo
McCoy of Piedmont; 14 grandchildren; 34
great-grandchildren and six great-great-
grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2p.m. Tuesday
at Lexington Baptist Church, conducted by
the Rev. Graham Lions and the Rev. Lewis
Abbott. Burial will be in Elmwood
Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be A.B. Harrison,
Phillip Martin Jr., Jim Prather, Bill Cummings,
Fred Smith, Barney Floyd Sr.,
Charles L. Byrd and Harold Lawson.

The family suggest that those who
wish may make memorials to Lexington
Baptist Church.

Caughman-Harman Funeral Home,
Lexington Chapel, is in charge.
