ARMSTRONG, JEANETTE 'JEAN' LENORA

It is with great sadness that Jeanette's family announces her passing on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at the age of 87 years.

She was predeceased by her husband Harvey (2003); parents Walter and Ethel Crippen; grandson David Hawkshaw, and great- grandson Joshua Armstong; all 11 of her siblings.

Left to cherish Jeanette's memory are her daughters Beverley (Phillip) Brecht of Bellevue, AB and Carol (Wayne) Farrar of Moose Jaw; sons Douglas (Dianne) of Whitby, ON and Edwin (Val) of Swift Current, SK; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jeanette was born April 9, 1927 in Regina, SK. She grew up on a farm southwest of Aylesbury, SK where she lived until she was 15, when she went to live with her sister Ethel for a year until she moved to Regina to work as a nurse's aide at the Regina General Hospital.

Jeanette met and married Harvey in 1946. They had four children. She worked at Queen City Cleaners for number of years. Jeanette also worked for Woolco as a cafeteria manager until her retirement.

After she retired they moved to Moose Jaw, SK where Jeanette along with her daughter Carol did crafts for a number of years. After Harvey passed away Jeanette moved to Temple Towers and later to Capilano Court then to Moose Jaw Extendicare.

A SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.

Jeanette will be laid to rest next to her beloved Harvey at Regina Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Jeanette may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.
