Armando M. “Herman” Apolinar, born in San Antonio, TX. on February 16, 1938, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2004 in San Jose, CA.He was a resident of San Jose, CA. for over thirty years.

Armando was a wonderful and loving husband, father and a great role model. He always helped younger family members with advice, finding a job and even offering his home.

He enjoyed his job as a long haul driver and on days off would take his family on long drives.

He was devastated when his illness prevented him from working and driving.

Armando had a passion for his family and loved to cook, barbeque, work in the garden and enjoyed vacations to San Antonio, TX.

He was a member of the Nat M. Washer Lodge No. 1270 AF & AM, Alzafar Shrine and Scottish Rite of San Antonio, TX.

Armando is preceded in death by his father, Jose Martinez Apolinar and mother, Carolina Morales Apolinar.

Armando is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Helen Apolinar, daughter, Laura Amanda Apolinar; son, Armando Rafael Apolinar; all of San Jose, CA.; sister, Alice Lopez and husband, Pedro; brothers, Adam Apolinar and wife, Carmen and Roger Apolinar and wife, Gisela; aunt Dela Coy; uncle Alejos Morales and wife, Maria; other survivors include his daughters, Carol Rocha and Marisela Apolinar; grandchildren, Michael, Meloney, Joshua, John, Ryan, Eric and two great grandchildren, all of San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law, Sharon Davies and husband, Dave; and niece Aimee Arcoraci, all of San Jose, CA.; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, in-laws and friends.
