Mrs. Canfield
Mrs. Nellie Devers Canfield, 86 died Tuesday morning at a St. Joseph nursing home. She was the widow of George Canfield.
Mrs. Canfield was born in Clay county, MO and after living a short time in Leavenworth, Kan., moved to St. Joseph 65 years ago.
She was a member of the Marvin - McMurry Methodist Church, Red Rose Camp, Royal Neighbors of America and the Eastern Star.
Serviving are a son, Harold A. Canfield of Trenton, MO; three daughters, Mrs. Glennis Kennedy, Mrs. Lucille Henry of San Pedro, CA and Mrs.Marguerite Berlencourt of Reseda, CA ; three brothers, Jim Devers, John and William Devers of Smithville. MO; a sister, Mrs.Tom Williams of Smithville; 8 Grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildrend and numerous nieces and nephews.
