Memorial services were held on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m., in the Teche Baptist Church of Centerville, for Hardy B. Evans. Evans is presumed lost at sea in a helicopter crash, which occured on Monday, Nov. 3. Evans was one of nine crewmen lost as a helicopter transported them from an oil rig in the Gulf to land.
Donations in memory of Evans may be made to the Buddy Evans Memorial Fund for the funding of a new bus for Centerville High School.
