She was the daughter of Elbert Oliver and Melissa Pearl (Wicks) Hudson and married Fred Howard Langford - 25 Dec 1932 - Lincoln Co., Tennessee. Her obituary follows:

Ruth Elizabeth Langford, age 96 of Winchester, died Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Lincoln County, the daughter of Elbert Hudson and Pearl Wicks. She was a retired school teacher. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Langford was preceded in death by her husband, Fred H. Langford. She is survived by her son, Bobby H. (Linda) Langford; two grandsons, Jeremy Shane (Sheri) Langford and Robert H. Langford; one great-grandson, Jacob Langford, and two great-granddaughters, Brittney and Chelsea Clark. Visitation with the family was held Friday, November 23, 2007 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Allen Hopkins presiding. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester.
