Hutto, Douglas, GA; son: Richard (Kim) Keith Merritt, Douglas, GA; grandchildren: Kelly Luke Merritt, Kristin Merritt, Ivy Merritt and Kaylin Merritt; brother: R. T. (Myrtle) Merritt, Nicholls, GA and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Merritt was preceded in death by: brothers: Wendel Merritt and Waldo Merritt.
Funeral services were held on Monday, September 8, 2014 at St. Illa Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed in the Griffin Cemetery.
