NORTON, Va. - Eva Wells Fischer, 98, died Friday (Aug. 15, 2003) in Northside Rehabilitation Hospital, Johnson City.
She was a member of the Norton Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Women's Circle. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Fischer; and a son, Dr. Fred R. Edens.
Surviving are five grandsons, Fred R. and Dorcas Edens Jr., Johnson City, J. Wesley and Gina Edens, Boones Creek, John and Pat Edens, Gray, Christopher A. and Amy Edens, Hickory Tree, and Timothy S. Edens, Hickory Tree; a granddaughter, Theresa E. and Ron Jelléy, Johnson City; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Norton Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Mike Porter officiating.
Burial will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
