"HATHAWAY- Died, on the 13th inst., at his home near here, Micajah Stephens, aged 85 years. He was about the oldest citizen of the county. He had lived to see his fourth generation, having several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as well as great-great-grandchildren. He leaves a wife and five children- four sons and one daughter, besides many friends to mourn his loss. His remains were laid to rest in the Stephens burying ground near Union. May his soul rest in peace after the long battle of life."
