Born in Spencerville Ohio to August and Lodema Cook Aab. On March 2, 1946, he married Lena M. Bowers, who died Aug. 2, 1988: Mr. Aab was a retired tool- maker at Ford Motor Co. and also was owner/operator of Harold's Party Shop in Lima for 30 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, during which he recieved a Bronze Star and served with the 44th Infantry Division. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54 and Springbrook Country Club. Survivors include two sons, John R. Aab of Lima and Russell R. Aab II of American * Samoa; four daughters, Pamela Kinent, End Mary both of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, Robert J. Aab of Westminster and George M. Aab of Lima; two sisters, Thelma I. Brewer of Phoenix and Alice Eileen Lyle of Delphos; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by an infant son, James Aab.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Siferd Westwood Chapel. The Rev. Terry Brock will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and an hour before services Friday at the funeral, home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice.
