Alice Roberta (Reed) Beason, 85, of Maryville, Mo., died on Oct. 11, 2001, at a hospital in St. Joseph, Mo.
Mrs. Beason worked in the food service department at Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville until retiring.
Born on Sept. 26, 1916, she had lived in Hopkins, Mo., from 1951 until moving to Marvyille in 1973.
Mrs. Beason was a member of the First Christian Church of Maryville and Worthwhile Club in Hopkins.
On Sept. 25, 1937, she married Howard Beason in St. Joseph. He died in 1992.
Mrs. Beason also was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen L. Beason; her parents, Loren M. and Grace Reed; two step-brothers, John and Wilson Miller; and a stepsister, Maxine O'Riley.
Surviving: a daughter, Mary Daniels, Maryville; four sons, Richard E., Seattle, Paul D. Pleasant Hill, Mo., Darrell H., Kansas City, Mo., and Robert F., New market, Iowa; three sisters, Ruth Morrow and Georgia Ulmer, both of Maryville; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct 13, 2001, at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Mo.
Burial: Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, Mo.
