Doris Mae Franta Warzon, 83, of Anderson, died Monday evening, September 8, 2014, at Grimes-St. Joseph Health Center in Navasota.
Calling hours will take place from 12:00 to 4:00 pm Thursday at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson with a vigil service and parish rosary to follow at 7:00 pm
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am Friday, September 12, 2014, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. The rite of committal will follow in the church cemetery.
Doris was born November 29, 1930 in Crosby, Texas to Rudolph and Hermina Marek Franta. She graduated from Crosby High School in 1948 and on June 23, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church she married Raymond Warzon. A resident of Anderson since 1991, she was a former longtime resident of Houston. Doris enjoyed gardening and working in the yard, baking, animals, especially her dogs and taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Irene Franta and a brother, Robert Franta.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Raymond Warzon of Anderson, her children, Cynthia Smith of Burleson, Texas, Ronald Warzon and wife, Susan, of Tomball, Michael Warzon of Anderson and James Warzon of Houston; a brother, Alvin Franta of Crosby and 3 grandchildren, Clint Reynolds, Matthew Warzon and Lauren Warzon Anderson and her husband, Corey.
For those that desire, the family has suggested memorials to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Restoration Fund, PO Box 210, Anderson, TX 77830-0210.
