Albert Boyce Black was the second son of Thomas D. Black and Annie (Boyce) Black formerly of North Andover, Massachusetts. He moved to Concord, Massachusetts in 1875 and founded Concord Wagon Works. He was married to Ellen Cheney of Sudbury, Massachusetts in Marlborough, Massachusetts in 1881 and later divorced. He then married Evelyn Howe in 1916 and predeceased her in 1929. Albert had a number of patents related to wagon design and highway equipment and (I believe) also founded A.B. Black Road Machinery Company. He sold equipment all over the Northeast and after retiring dealt in real estate around Concord, Massachusetts and Lake Winnepesaukee. He died of acute indigestion at his home in Concord, Massachusetts
