She was the first of 8 children and lived all her life in the Lexington Columbia area.
She married Jacob Qunicey Kyzer and they had 4 children, Myrtle, Jacob Davis, Mary Helen and George Melton(my daddy).
We called her Mama Kyzer and what I remember about her most of all is when we would drive from Conway to Columbia every two weeks she would always have a big supper cooked for us, she taught me to stick my finger in the middle of the biscuit and pour honey in the hole....so so good. I loved to wander around in her yard because she had beautiful flowers and I loved it. She never worked except for keeping the house and cooking my Daddy Quincey his meals. I think I got my love for gardening from Mama Kyzer.
They both had very long lives and they rest beside each other at Southland Memorial Gardens in Lexington.
