Lois Mae Abbot
Lois Mae Abbott, 80, of the Clear Creek area of Boise County, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, in a Boise hospital of natural causes.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Dry Creek Cemetery Pastor Eric Brown of the Cloverdale Seventh-day Adventist Church will officiate. Services are under direction of the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise.
Lois was born May 13, 1918, at Fairfield, Idaho, the daughter of Allen and Flora Gertrude Mink Osborne. On Sept. 13, 1937, she married Larry Abbott at Aztec, N.M. For several years following their marriage, they lived in Cortez, Col., before moving to Boise. She worked with her husband and son, Larry Gene, operating Abbott's Auto Supply at the corner of 15th and Main streets. They retired in 1978 when a fire destroyed their business. At that time they moved to the Clear Creek area of Boise County, where they have resided since.
She was as Red Cross volunteer and was very active with the Ponderosa Pathfinders, with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was an active member of the Cloverdale Seventh. day Adventist Church. She was devoted to the Bible and her church.
Lois enjoyed spending Me with her family, especially the annual outing to Silver Creek Plunge with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Larry, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren — Marlene and Tom Cole, Deb Richard, Mike, Brian, Nathan, and Matt Richard; Randy Cole, Doug, Arin, and Bryce Cole, Rob, Shallen, Katie, and Jacob Cole, Steven, Dina, Alison, Amanda and Daniel Cole, and Alozna Ibarra; Larry and Rachael Abbott, Duane and Sabrina Abbott, Bill, Shari and Bon Abbott Rick, Marilee, Travis, Whitney and Jennifer Abbott, Coni Thil, Jerry, Kelly, Dawn, Lucas, and Ashlee Abbott; a sister, Phyllis Jones of Boise; and a brother and his wife, Clyde and Barb Osborne of Gooding, She was preceded in death by two brothers; one sister; and one great-grandchild, Megan.
