son of James Hadley and Loraine Bostwick

On September 4, 1877, Frederick and Lucia Brown were married in South Burlington, Vermont.
Member, Washington Lodge, F &AM

A death announcement was published in The Burlington Free Press (Burlington, Vermont) June 20, 1888.
From the tribute published by The Burlington Independent (Burlington, Vermont) June 29, 1888:
"Probably no farmer in this vicinity was sas widely known as he. He was a dealer in farms, buying and selling lands through several counties, as well as trading in cattle, sheep and produce. He seldom or never failed to judge correctly of values. Though he loved a good trade and always stuck for the last cent called for by the terms of the contract,he was a kind-hearted man, generous and liberal to the poor and unfortunate. He made the mistake in life that many make in that he did not marry til near forty years of age. He leaves a wife and several small children to mourn his loss. For each he had secured a good farm. He fully believed in landed investments and good barns. He was 68 years of age."

Heirs named in probate records are Frederick and Lucia's children
Lucia H., Mary Edith, Susan Bostwick., Frederick Brown, and Lucia herself.
