The death of Mrs. William H. Hollister Jr., a former well-known resident of this city occurred yesterday at the residence of her son, Rev. Dr., J Hillman Hollister, in Washington, D. C. Mrs. Hollister was born in this city June 8, 1846, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hillman. The survivors include her son, who is pastor of the Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church; a sister, Mrs. Ella Redfern of Buffalo; a niece Mrs. Billings Robinson of Troy, and three grandchildren.

While a resident of this city Mrs. Hollister was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church and served as President of the Women’s Church Society for 15 years. She was also President of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Y.M.C.A The funeral will be held Friday afternoon from the Second Presbyterian church with Rev. Dr. Frederick W. Evans officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at Oakwood Cemetery.
