El Dorado Springs Sun Oct. 29 1914
Mrs. Sarah E Bishop, a pioneer resident of the country northeast of El Dorado,died at her home four miles northeast of city on last Saturday after an illness of several weeks duration. Mrs. Bishop was born in Ohio September 22, 1845 being at the time of her death 69 years and 25 days old. The deceased came with her husband to Missouri over forty years ago and located northeast of this city, where she had resided ever since. She was a splendid women and was generally esteemed for her many Good qualities and her death caused the deepest sorrow in the community where she resided. She is survived by eight children, five girls and three boys all of whom have the entire community in the hour of their bereavement.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Ben Zener, were held at the home Sunday morning at 10 o'clock after which the remains were laid to rest by the side of those of husband who had preceded her,in the Lebeck cemetery in the presence of a large number friends and neighbors.
