Aged Resident of Sidney Passes on Saturday Evening

Mrs. Cecelia Blayden Clayton, 81, To Be Buried Tuesday Morning.

Funeral rites for Mrs. Cecelia Blayden Clayton, 81, of 1203 North Ohio Avenue, will be conducted on Tuesday morning at 9 O'clock from Dearth funeral home with the Rev. S. Blough in charge of the rites. Burial will be made in Graceland cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dearth funeral home at any time.

Mrs. Clayton's death occurred at her home Saturday evening at 7:15 o'clock following a six month illness of complications, which developed following a fall. She had been bed fast for the past three weeks.

A native of Tennessee, she was born May 28, 1861, the daughter of Henry and Sarah Risner Brewer. She came to Shelby county 22 years ago to make her home, she was united in marriage to Enoch Franklin Clayton in 1875, and he preceded her in death, passing away a year ago.

The children surviving include; Talmage Clayton, of Sidney; William Clayton, of Sidney; Elmer Clayton, of Ethredge, Tenn.; Mrs. Ralph Shively, of Parker, Ind.; Mrs William Todd, Of Sidney; Mrs. Florence Davidson, of Dayton, and Mrs. Sanford Adams, of Collinswood, Tenn..

There are three surviving sisters, Mrs. Emma Clayton, of Oklahoma; Mrs Josie Adams, of Collinswood, Tenn., and Mrs. Dora Lindsay, also of collinswoods, Tenn.

She was life long member of the Methodist church.
